FedLearn Adds Two Members to Board of Advisors

Alexandria, VA, April 20, 2023—FedLearn, the first-to-market, online, artificial intelligence-powered learning solutions provider offering content specialized and contextualized to federal government mission areas—particularly in the U.S. Department of Defense and Intelligence Community—announces the addition of two members to its board of advisors: Kevin Duffer, founder and chief executive officer of KLD Consulting, and Tom Nault, co-founder and managing partner of Middlerock Partners

Duffer brings more than 30 years of experience in edtech and human performance in both the private and public sectors. He has worked for companies ranging in size from startups to large, public organizations. Duffer’s experience includes custom learning development, cloud technology implementation, program design, performance measurement and channel program management. During his 17-year tenure with Skillsoft, Duffer led the company’s federal, public sector and government contracting market segments. Earlier in his career, as a senior vice president with ManTech International, Duffer helped grow the annual revenue of its training and human performance division from less than $5 million to more than $35 million. He is a retired U.S. Navy veteran.

Nault possesses more than 40 years of professional experience. He purchased his first company immediately after graduating from college and after selling that business, launched a venture-funded food company. Nault then founded a food technology company that was acquired a year later. He spent a decade as a federal court-appointed trustee, managing federal court settlements between the federal government and private companies. Nault then founded Dashlight, an intellectual property and asset holding company. Dashlight purchased Open Interface North America, which was later sold to Qualcomm. Nault is a board member of several companies and non-profit organizations, including America’s Automotive Trust and Truebird.

“I am delighted to welcome Kevin Duffer and Tom Nault as the newest members of the distinguished FedLearn board of advisors,” said Dr. J. Keith Dunbar, FedLearn founder and CEO. “Both were specifically selected to round out the board’s edtech and entrepreneurship/business expertise to help guide the company’s strategic direction and continued innovation, relevancy and growth.”
