FedLearn Launches New AI/Data and Intelligence Certifications to Advance National Security Workforce Readiness

Alexandria, VA, Sept. 15, 2026—FedLearn, an artificial intelligence-powered adaptive learning solutions provider, that delivers content contextualized to federal government mission areas—particularly in the U.S. Department of War and Intelligence Community—announces eight new professional certifications in AI/data and intelligence.

The six AI/data and two intelligence certification pathways are

  • Certified DoW AI/Data Acumen Professional (FL-CERT-AI-001); foundational and required for all other AI/data certifications
  • Certified DoW Data Analytics Professional (FL-CERT-AI-002); specialized
  • Certified DoW Data Management Practices Professional (FL-CERT-AI-003); specialized
  • Certified DoW Responsible AI Professional (FL-CERT-AI-004); specialized
  • Certified DoW Data Steward Professional (FL-CERT-AI-005); specialized
  • Certified DoW Generative AI Professional (FL-CERT-AI-006); specialized
  • Certified IC Intelligence Writer – Analytic Tradecraft Standards (FL-CERT-IC-001); no prerequisite required
  • Certified IC Intelligence Analyst – Structured Analytic Techniques (FL-CERT-IC-002); no prerequisite required

The FedLearn certification program is the first to deliver national security-contextualized credentials and quantify workforce readiness. To qualify, candidates must complete the FedLearn online courses curated for each certification topic area, earn a score of 80 percent or higher on all graded assessments and receive a competency score of 61 or higher for every course, as measured by the FedLearn Mission Readiness Knowledge Index. MRKI is a proprietary, AI-enabled competence-based framework designed to advance how workforce training readiness is measured.

Individuals who complete all requirements will receive a certificate, a digital Credly badge and a digital toolkit containing a variety of resources to promote their accomplishment. Additional credentials will be added to the FedLearn certification portfolio as the program expands.

“FedLearn professional certifications go well beyond pass/fail, point-in-time exams,” said Dr. J. Keith Dunbar, FedLearn founder and chief executive officer. “Our certifications demonstrate sustained competency by measuring consistent performance, knowledge application and mission readiness throughout every required course—providing a far more meaningful indicator of workforce capability than test scores.”

FedLearn continues to offer access to CertNexus online content and lab environments to prepare for three CertNexus professional certification examinations—Certified AI Practitioner, Certified Data Science Practitioner and Certified Ethical Emerging Technologist—as part of its broader learning ecosystem. These externally issued credentials complement FedLearn certifications by enabling learners to pursue widely recognized industry qualifications alongside mission-contextualized certifications.
