About This Artificial Intelligence Course

The U.S. Department of Defense is endeavoring to evolve to an artificial intelligence-ready enterprise by 2025. In support of this goal, the DoD workforce—both military and civilian—must possess the right level of knowledge and skills to best utilize AI solutions in support of mission requirements.

The future uses of AI to enable mission success are increasing on a daily basis.

Today, the DoD Chief Digital and AI Office is working rapidly to develop and deploy AI solutions across six mission initiative areas:

  • Joint warfighting operations
  • Warfighter health
  • Business process transformation
  • Joint force protection
  • Joint logistics
  • Joint information warfare

In this course, you examine real-world AI use cases to understand how the power of these technology solutions are being applied across the Department’s mission initiatives. You also identify potential, future AI use cases for development and utilization in your own specific mission area.
