A FedLearn certification reflects readiness at the time it is earned—and readiness is something that must be sustained as missions, technology and tradecraft evolve. For that reason, our credentials are valid for three years, after which certificants recertify to confirm their knowledge and skills remain current. Recertification is built on continuing professional education completed through our online, adaptive learning platform: over each three-year cycle, a certificant must earn 45 CPE credits—a manageable average of 15 per year, with a small portion dedicated to professional ethics. 

Because FedLearn measures learning continuously, recertification credits are verified the same way as the original credential—through demonstrated engagement and an MRKI readiness check, not merely a completion record. A random sample of recertification records will be audited each year to protect the integrity of the credential. The result is a credential that does not simply expire on a calendar date but is renewed on evidence that the certificant remains genuinely prepared to perform on the job.
